The internet is a funny place. For some reason people are taking an Executive Order that was signed way back in March and talking about it now while simultaneously blowing it out of proportion.
This Executive Order is basically tells the federal government to recognize that digital assets and digital currency are becoming more and more of a thing and the United States should be at the forefront of it. This order from the President tells several specific government agencies to come up with plans, infrastructure, regulations and recommendations for it. AND it also encourages the Federal Reserve to continue its research into Central Bank Digital Currencies — aka CBDCs.
