‘We’ve lost a really incredible Australian’: Tributes flow in for Judith Durham

Radio host Katie Woolf says we have lost a “really incredible Australian,” following the death of legendary singer-songwriter Judith Durham.

The former lead singer of The Seekers, who garnered international fame for her immense talent, died in Melbourne on Friday at the age of 79.

“She didn’t sort of seek to be a superstar. We are talking about somebody who was really humble, a really beautiful, humble Australian,” Ms Woolf told Sky News host Chris Smith.

“With that stardom that obviously she gained, she used it for good. She’s done so much charity work. And I just think we’ve lost a really incredible Australian here.”
