Taiwan needs to show Beijing it ‘can’t be intimidated’

Former Labor MP Michael Danby says Taiwan needs to be “acquiring as many modern weapons as they can” and showing Beijing it ”can’t be intimidated”.

“The situation’s quite acute for Taiwan, I hope they’re as aggressive in the defence of themselves as the Ukrainians and the Israelis are,” Mr Danby told Sky News host Chris Smith.

“You need to be in order to show the rest of the world that you ought to be defended and supported.”
