CommSec’s Tom Piotrowski says if a drop in US inflation was not delivered, there would have been “quite a bit of volatility” in the market.
US inflation dropped from a four-decade high of 9.1 per cent to 8.5 per cent overnight.
“Relief is the bottom line in terms of the response to these figures,” he told Sky News Australia.
