The Megyn Kelly Show host Megyn Kelly says there are two main reasons why former US president Donald Trump has not given an interview since the FBI raid on his Florida property last week.
“One, he could be mad at maybe Fox and doesn’t want to irritate, you know, his closest pals there – but he has a lot of other outlets he goes on,” she told Sky News host Paul Murray.
“Two, he’s been given wise legal advice by his lawyers to just be quiet for now because Donald Trump is likely to indicted.”
Ms Kelly said the indictment would be likely to come in the next few months and it is a “good time” for the former president to be silent due to what US Attorney General Merrick Garland may do.
“Merrick Garland really is out to get him and Merrick Garland has the power to do it,” she said.
“Merrick Garland doesn’t feel ashamed or stopped by the obvious political backlash that is about to come his way, his boss’ way, if and when he does this.”
