GOP lawmakers are calling on the Biden administration to take action in support of the U.S.-Israel alliance. Republicans on Capitol Hill have been voicing their support for Israel while stressing the country needs help from the U.S. now more than ever
On Wednesday, while speaking to reporters in front of Capitol Hill, members of the House Republican Israel Caucus urged the White House to take action against Hamas as the terrorist organization continues bombarding Israel. Caucus co-chair Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.) said the U.S. should be standing with its ally “shoulder to shoulder” in what he called a “battle of of good versus evil.”
“Israel has an inherent right of self-defense; Hamas is a terrorist organization and an Iranian proxy that seeks to wipe Israel off the map,” he stated.
Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-Colo.) warned the left wants to pull back U.S. military support of Israel with Democrats on the House Foreign Affairs Committee attempting to delay a $735 million arms sale to the country. The arms sale will provide Israel with accurate missiles and special munitions.
“Unfortunately, there are those in Congress who are wanting to defund our military support of Israel,” Lamborn stated. “They’re wanting to condemn Israel’s right to defend itself and that is totally wrong, and we’re not going to let that happen.”
Rep. Dan Bishop (R.N.C.) pointed out how Democrats want to keep the U.S. divided over the conflict in the Middle East.
House Democrats just voted against emergency funding for Israel to defend itself.

Meanwhile, Republicans are challenging the Biden administration to unequivocally support Israel while ensuring the precision guided missiles arrive without delay.
