‘Bizarre diplomacy’ from Solomon Islands

It is “bizarre diplomacy” from the Solomons Islands as the nation bans visits by foreign navy vessels, The West Australian’s Ben O’Shea says.

Mr O’Shea said it would be “suspicious” if a huge Chinese aircraft carrier comes steaming into Honiara.

“Now they’re saying Australian naval vessels aren’t welcome,” he told Sky News Australia.

“Talk is cheap, isn’t it.”
