Authorities in Pennsylvania have identified the suspect in a recent convenience store shooting spree. On Wednesday, officers from the Upper Macungie Township Police Department named 45-year-old Za Uk Lian as the gunman.

Lian reportedly shot at a woman’s car on a highway before driving to a nearby gas station and firing at a man in a separate vehicle who was injured. The suspect went on to shoot and kill a 31-year-old man named Ramon Rodriguez who was pumping gas. Authorities said Lian then fled to a nearby day care center before fatally shooting himself in the chest.

The district attorney said the investigation has not revealed a motive so far.

Authorities said a man working at the gas station was taking out the trash at the time of the attack and was able to usher customers inside to shelter in place before locking the doors.

Officers touted several local police departments’ response times, noting they prevented the situation from becoming worse.
