President Trump hosted a fundraiser Wednesday evening for newly tapped Conference Chair Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.). Stefanik made the announcement on Twitter while on her way to the event.

Stefanik, a long-time supporter of Trump, has been commended by the President for being incredibly loyal to his movement. In her tweet she said, “Republicans and the American people have never been more excited to defeat the far-left and save our country.”

The fundraiser took place at President Trump’s New Jersey golf course. Before the event began, Trump and Stefanik reportedly met to discuss a GOP strategy to reclaim the House in 2022. The fundraiser was said to begin with a roundtable with donors, followed by a speech from Trump.

Stefanik recently revealed her joint fundraising committee had already raised $250,000 ahead of next year’s midterms.
